Friend,

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of the holiday season and taking the much needed time to rest and relax surrounded by loved ones.

While we reflect on the year, I want to reiterate how proud I am of you and the rest of my constituents for continuing to help us invest in our community. While we were knocked down by the presidential election, we still made great strides toward diversity, equity, and inclusion across New York.

Now, we have to gear up for the second term of Donald Trump. I know you may be scared of what the next four years will hold, but we have pushed back against Trump and MAGA extremism before and we can do it again.

As Donald Trump continues his process of confirming his Cabinet picks, we have the opportunity to fight back. Over the next couple of weeks, we need to prepare ourselves for the chaos and uncertainty that the next Trump Administration will bring. 

Now is not the time to sit back and wallow—we have to make sure we are united against Donald Trump and sycophants that follow his lead.

The next four years will be difficult but there is also room for progress. We just have to band together to make change.
