John,
Sometimes you wonder if our Members of
Parliament sit in New Delhi or Beijing rather than in
Ottawa.
Just this past week, two motions having
to do with Chinese and Indian issues were debated in the House of
commons.
One MP wanted to designate February as “Chinese
Heritage Month.”
According to him, it is our
“collective responsibility” as Canadians to preserve Chinese
heritage!
Actually, no!
Chinese culture should be
preserved in China — NOT in Canada!
India culture
should thrive in India — NOT in Canada!
What should be
preserved in Canada are the various cultures based on our founding
peoples that developed in Canada, that define what Canada is, and that
ONLY EXIST IN CANADA.
And immigrants who come to our
country should integrate in these cultures, not try to live in Canada
as if they had never left their country of origin.
Another MP
introduced a motion to recognize as genocide anti-Sikh violence in
India that took place 40 years ago, following the assassination of
Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards.
What does this have to do with Canada,
apart from pandering to Sikh Canadians?
Are our MPs
elected to debate how to interpret historical events in other
countries?!
Or are they elected to govern OUR
country?
John, don’t you think it would be nice to have
patriotic MPs in Canada’s Parliament who care about..., I don’t know,
like... Canada maybe?!!
That’s what the People’s Party has to
offer.
Help us reach our goal of raising $300,000 before
December 31 with a $50 donation today so we can continue to fight for
Canadians First!
Thank you,
-Max
