Trump is back. With every new loyalist cabinet pick, that reality sets in. The Republican trifecta will drive the agenda.
And now the clock is ticking for Democrats. Do we go back to the same old playbook and keep losing, or do we start changing now so that we can win?
We’ve lost support everywhere. One of the biggest reasons is that Democrats can’t seem to have honest conversations with Americans about what matters in their lives. We’re more concerned about strict ideological positions than fixing problems. We can’t even tolerate enough reasonable debate on social issues to counter MAGA’s cruelest tactics.
That’s why I recently said something that I know a lot of people agree with: Democrats seem to care more about not offending anyone than actually winning. I wrote about it recently in a Washington Post op-ed. [[link removed]]
But now I’m likely facing a primary challenge simply for saying what so many have been thinking.
I’ve never been one to shy away from a fight. I’m a proud Democrat, and I’m pushing our party because I’m sick of ceding ground to MAGA extremists. You should be, too.
We need to win, and if you agree, I’ll need your help starting today. Please consider making an early investment in my re-election campaign here. [[link removed]]
Thanks for all you do.
