The Republican Study Committee has released a 2025 budget blueprint that would force Americans to work longer for less, slashing Social Security benefits for over 250 million people -- three-quarters of the population.

But that’s not the worst of it. According to Representative Brendan Boyle, the top Democrat on the House Budget Committee, the Republican budget plan doesn’t stop at Social Security. It also proposes dismantling Medicare as we know it, gutting the Affordable Care Act, and slashing food assistance programs -- all to bankroll massive tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.

Adding insult to injury, Trump has tapped Dr. Mehmet Oz to oversee Medicare Services. Oz, who infamously promoted hydroxychloroquine while holding over $615,000 in shares of the drug’s distributor, is now championing privatized “Medicare Advantage for All” plans. These for-profit schemes prioritize corporate earnings over patient care, cutting access for vulnerable Americans while enriching investors like Oz himself. His 2022 Senate campaign disclosures revealed he held $600,000 in privatized Medicare stocks, part of the $8.5 million he invested in healthcare companies.

Let’s be clear: These plans won’t reduce government waste -- they’ll simply make healthcare less accessible for everyday Americans while lining the pockets of the wealthy.
