TELL CONGRESS: Elon Musk said he wants to “delete” the Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau, an agency tasked with protecting people from predatory
financial practices. Such a move would be a gift to big banks, shady
payday loan companies, and billionaires like Musk. Sign the petition:

Hi,
Elon Musk has called for cuts across nearly the entire government as he
prepares to lead Trump’s new “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE).
Now, he says he wants to completely eliminate the Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau (CFPB) — an agency in charge of protecting consumers
from predatory financial practices.^1
Like many of Musk’s suggested cuts, eliminating the CFPB would create
hardship for everyday Americans while corporations benefit. “Deleting” the
CFPB, as Musk put it, would be a gift to big banks, shady payday loan
companies, and Musk’s billionaire friends. We need our leaders in Congress
to stand against Musk, DOGE and all these cuts!

“DOGE” is expected to pave the way for widespread deregulation, corporate
favoritism, and diminished government accountability. Eliminating the CFPB
would be part of this massive shift that will only help billionaires and
their corporations.
Musk is ready to make the cuts that hurt people and benefit the
ultra-wealthy. Unless Congress stands up for the people.

“Department of Government Efficiency.”
