Today we find ourselves in an America with greater income inequality than during the Great Depression. These are hard times for many. But the solution is not more corporatization and tax breaks for billionaires. We need public investment in high-quality education, good jobs, affordable housing, health care, the environment and well-built public infrastructure.

The Living New Deal is working to spark a national conversation about how our country once overcame economic disaster and restored hope through what FDR called "a New Deal for the American people." We're expanding our outreach to educators, nonprofit organizations and civic leaders; increasing our presence in rural communities and promoting a new New Deal as the way forward.
