2024 has been an extraordinary year for the Daily Kos community. Together,
we've achieved something remarkable—creating a space where progressive voices
thrive, ideas flourish, and community is strong.
I’ve been recently reviewing the year and wanted to share some of the numbers
that tell the story of a vibrant, engaged movement:
* 2,389 community members posted a total of 35,241 stories, bringing fresh
perspectives and critical issues to the forefront.
* Those stories inspired 4.2 million recommends and sparked 2.1 million
comments, further deepened by 16.7 million recommends on those comments.
* Over 10,600 new members joined this year, with an average of 16,621
logged-in users daily, peaking at nearly 45,000 on Election Day, Nov. 5.
These aren’t just stats. They’re a testament to the energy, passion, and
dedication that fuels this community.
Every story posted, every comment made, and every recommendation clicked is a
step toward building the progressive future we all believe in.
This level of engagement is proof of the strength of our voice—and that it’s
needed now more than ever. But this work doesn’t sustain itself. It relies on
support from readers like you to keep this platform running strong.
