In light of recent inquiries received by both the KSGOP Chair and the Executive Director regarding the procedural framework for upcoming District reorganization meetings and the seating of county delegates, we provide the following guidance:
According to KSGOP By-Laws, it is mandatory for District Chairs to appropriately seat duly elected county delegates during District reorganization meetings.
Any actions that disenfranchise these duly elected delegates, specifically by inhibiting their voting rights at a District Reorganizational meeting, could undermine the legitimacy of all resultant actions and elections conducted during that session.
It is crucial to note that any interpretations of the By-Laws providing District Chairs with extensive discretion in the seating of delegates will similarly apply to the authority of the KSGOP Chair concerning the seating of state delegates from the respective districts.
KSGOP Leadership has communicated this directive to District leadership, emphasizing that all Chairs are expected to adhere to these protocols during their reorganizational meetings. The integrity of Congressional District elections will be assessed based on the procedural integrity followed in the seating of duly elected delegates and any applicable alternates from individual counties.
Maintaining election integrity is of utmost importance for all Kansas elections, be they public or intra-party. The KSGOP Leadership is committed to upholding these standards.
We urge all Kansas Republicans to operate in accordance with the Kansas Republican Party Constitution and By-Laws, ensuring clarity, transparency, and the highest ethical standards in all actions.
In Respect, Freedom, Love, and Liberty,
Mike Brown, Chairman
Kansas Republican Party
