I hope you are having a safe and wonderful weekend! As I approach the end of my time in Congress, I’ve been reflecting on the past 12 years. This work has been rewarding, inspiring, and, at times, frustrating. But, more than anything, it has been the greatest honor of my lifetime!

It was wonderful to celebrate with friends and colleagues from the Class of 2012 and toast our departing members!

I’m incredibly thankful for having had the privilege of representing New Hampshire's Second District and for the many friends I’ve made along the way. This week, it was great to kick off the holidays with the Class of 2012, celebrate and honor our departing members, and look back on all that we’ve accomplished together over the past 12 years!

Advocating for New Hampshire's Winter Sports Industry

Ever since I first learned to ski at Wildcat Mountain with my family, I’ve had a deep-rooted love for nature and the winter sports we’re so fortunate to have access to here in New Hampshire. Outdoor recreation and tourism are cornerstones of our economy and Granite State way of life. Last year, these industries generated more than $3.9 billion in revenue and accounted for more than 31,00 jobs across the state!

It’s been a privilege collaborating with organizations like Ski New Hampshire over the past 12 years to uplift and support our state’s outdoor recreation and winter sports industries. This week, I was incredibly honored to be recognized by Ski New Hampshire with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and I look forward to our continued work together!

Tackling the Addiction and Overdose Epidemic

I’ll keep working to ensure everyone can access the treatment and recovery services they need.

When I was first elected to Congress, the opioid crisis was devastating communities in New Hampshire and across the country—it’s why I founded the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force to bring Democrats and Republicans together to tackle this epidemic.

Since then, we’ve made significant progress in expanding access to treatment and recovery services and equipping communities with the tools and resources they need to address this crisis at the local level. This week, I was recognized with the Congressional Leadership Award by the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). Together, we'll keep working to ensure everyone has access to the health care and support services they need to thrive.

Lowering Prescription Drug Costs for Seniors: Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, starting in January, the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan will help Medicare Part D beneficiaries spread prescription drug costs across the year. With a $2,000 annual out-of-pocket cap and zero-interest installments, the program offers seniors financial relief and predictable payments.
