Dear John,
I spent the day after the election in a conference room.
At NWLC, we’d planned for every possible election night scenario, including the reality we are now facing. My colleagues and I were ready to get to work, knowing that the ability to fight back against a hate-fueled agenda lies in our collective power.
Everyone has a role to play, and as a graphic designer at the Law Center, I immediately started brainstorming ways to visually embody this idea.
And that’s how the Gear Up, Fight Back Collection was born.
The next four years will be unbelievably challenging: the fight for gender justice is at a turning point and our fundamental freedoms are under attack. But We Fight Fascism. We Defend Democracy. We Protect Us.
If you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift or a way to kick off the new year in comfort and style, check out our new collection of muscle tees, gym towels, sweatpants, and hoodies. We also have stickers and a yard sign if those are more your speed.
All items are available for preorder now and will ship starting the week of the December 16.
In 2025 and beyond, we'll need to tap into our endurance and collective strength, but we can’t do it without your support. I’ll never stop believing a better world is possible, and I want to remind you that the fight for gender justice continues no matter who sits in the White House.
Art has always held enormous power to evoke emotion, open dialogue, and call attention to injustice. So, grab some gear for yourself or a friend today. The National Women’s Law Center is committed to being at the forefront of this fight and John, I know you are too.
In solidarity,
Andrea Sumner
