USDA orders nationwide testing of milk for bird flu to halt the virus
The US government on Friday ordered testing of the nation’s milk supply for bird flu to better monitor the spread of the virus in dairy cows. Raw or unpasteurized milk from dairy farms and processors nationwide must be tested on request starting Dec. 16, the Agriculture Department said. Testing will begin in six states — California, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. Officials said the move is aimed at “containing and ultimately eliminating the virus,” known as Type A H5N1, which was detected for the first time in March in US dairy cows. Since then, more than 700 herds have been confirmed to be infected in 15 states.

Sentient toenail fungus and raging antisemite Nick Fuentes was arrested in Illinois last week on a charge of battery after he allegedly pushed a woman down the stairs of his home and pepper sprayed her last month. According to a police report from the Berwyn Police Department obtained by The Smoking Gun, Fuentes was confronted by a woman on Nov. 10 over comments he made online about abortion access following the November election. Officer Asael Carrera wrote that a woman who witnessed the incident recorded and “observed a male push a female down the stairs, spray her with mace, and smashed her phone.” A man identified in the report as Fuentes reportedly sprayed the woman and allegedly “pushed her backwards causing her to fall down the stairs and onto the concrete. The male then grabbed her phone and threw it against the concrete floor.”

A CBS News investigation found dozens of law enforcement leaders — sheriffs, captains, lieutenants, chiefs of police — buying and illegally selling firearms, even weapons of war, across 23 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC, from the Deep South to the Midwest, Northeast, and California coast. "If I'm guilty of this, every cop in the nation's going to jail," said Adair police chief Bradley Wendt, just before he was sentenced to five years in prison. That's...encouraging!
