Dear Reader,
It's not too late to support the next generation of individuals passionate about ensuring access to reliable, nonpartisan information for voters across the country.
The Ballotpedia Fellows Program began as a small initiative to support students during a challenging time in our nation’s history. Since then, we have been continually inspired by the incredible volunteers who have participated in the program and embraced the mission of delivering factual, unbiased information about American politics.
To date, the Ballotpedia Fellows Program has:
-
Welcomed nearly 550 dedicated volunteers.
-
Researched nearly 26,000 candidates and contacted more than10,000 candidates, discovering attributes including, campaign websites, social media profiles, and contact details, ensuring voters have the information they need.
One Fellow shared: "The Fellows Program inspired me to work towards candidate transparency and help my community (both locally and nationally) by fixing the ballot information problem!”
This year we launched our Trusted Researcher position, many of which are Fellows who continue volunteering with Ballotpedia after the completion of their cohort. So far, we have 55 Trusted Researchers!
Your support enables us to continue running the Ballotpedia Fellows Program and cultivating a future generation of individuals committed to making reliable, factual information accessible to all voters.
Together, with these talented students, we’re building a future where everyone has access to accurate, nonpartisan information about politics, elections, and policy.
Thank you for being a part of this important work!
Sincerely,
Andrew Heath
Director of External Relations
