As Phil’s Campaign Manager, it’s difficult to overstate just how huge this endorsement is for our campaign. The winner of the August primary will likely be a Democrat with lots of support in Pierce County. This endorsement sends a loud and clear message that Phil is the candidate South Sound voters are beginning to consolidate behind. That’s big.

But as Phil’s friend, I know how much this endorsement means to him on a personal level. Like me, Phil’s start in politics began through his local Democratic party -- the Pierce County Dems. We met when he was in charge of coordinating volunteer efforts through our College Dems chapter. Over the years, Phil has knocked on more than 10,000 doors to elect dozens of South Sound Democrats. He knows the power of organizing and investing in the next generation of leaders.
