friend – supporters like you are what propels our campaign for debt cancellation forward.

Your signatures on our petition to party leaders made sure that the Labour party already had debt cancellation on their agenda ahead of the election. They then committed to “tackling unsustainable debt” in their manifesto.

And when you invited your MPs to our parliamentary event in September, you pushed our campaign forward again. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to build relationships with new MPs who are now working alongside us to push forward our demands in Westminster and turn manifesto promises into meaningful action.

What’s more, Debt Justice supporters made all this campaigning possible though generous donations.

Once again our community has stepped up this week, raising over £33,000 so far through the Big Give Christmas Challenge ([link removed]) – much-needed funds that will push forward our campaigns in 2025. But with a match pot of a massive £18,000 still up for grabs, there’s the opportunity to go even further.

friend, can you help make the most of this chance before the pot runs out in 3 days? Whatever you give today will be doubled – making sure we can keep campaigning successfully together in 2025!

As an independent organisation, we really do depend on our community to make our campaigns for debt cancellation possible. Together we are able to stand side-by-side with those on the frontline of the global debt crisis – like Zambian activist Precious Kalombwana.

“Zambians are dying because of debt issues”, Precious told supporters at our rally in October. “They don’t have access to medicine, they don’t have good quality education”.

“If Zambia’s debt is cancelled, we would be able to have good education, we would be able to have medicine in hospitals. We will no longer suffer because of the debt crisis”
, she said.

Every single pound raised through the Big Give will help amplify the voices of activists like Precious and build the pressure on politicians to act. Our MPs could make a huge difference to countries in debt crisis – because nine out of ten of the debts owed by lower-income countries to financial giants are overseen by UK law.

A debt justice law is truly within our reach. Anything you can donate today could help get our campaign over the line. And of course, anything you give via the Big Give is DOUBLED – giving you twice the impact.

We’ve only got until midday on Tuesday 10 December to make the most of the match pot available, or it’s gone for good. I know that not everyone can afford to give right now, but if you can, this really is the best time to do it!

✅ Give £10, we'll receive £20
✅ Give £20, we'll receive £40

Our campaign has come so far in 2024. I am confident that with the supporter of our community we can go even further in 2025

With thanks for everything you do to end unjust debt,
