Friends,
There’s no doubt that some things have changed over the last few months – but one thing remains constant: Governor Holcomb and your state’s commitment to great government service for ALL Hoosiers.
And that means ALL Hoosiers…including our most vulnerable, our motorists, and anyone needing emergency medical help.
Department of Child Services
The Indiana Department of Child Services is continuing its work on the frontlines advancing its critical mission of protecting Indiana’s at-risk children.
While some work has moved virtual – if there’s an allegation of child abuse or neglect, a family case manager is visiting in-person to investigate.
But that’s where we need your help. If you suspect a child is being harmed, please place a call at anytime to the state’s Child Abuse & Neglect Hotline at 1-800-800-5556. As schools and many community activities have closed, calls to the hotline have dropped by more than 40% -- but sadly, children are still at risk.
Bureau of Motor Vehicles
The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is now open by appointment and is ready to help you with important services – like knowledge testing, a new vehicle registration, a new driver’s license, a replacement license and more.
Just last week, the BMV served Hoosiers with 141,854 appointments, and they’re adding an additional 2,000 appointments a day to better serve you.
Check here to make an appointment, and to see if you can complete your transaction online. And remember – Governor Holcomb has ordered an extension on all license and registration expiration dates through June 4.
Emergency Medical Services
This is National EMS Week – and a great reminder to thank those medical professionals who are ALWAYS on the frontlines serving us!
