Lately, Mayor Eric Adams has been sounding a lot like Donald Trump.

Just today, Mayor Adams refused to rule out switching to the Republican party*, which he was once a member of — and dared people to “cancel” him for his comments.

And earlier this week, Adams made dangerous and false statements scapegoating immigrants — even arguing that it is constitutional to deny them due process.

“The Constitution is for Americans … I’m not a person that snuck into this country. My ancestors have been here for a long time.”

Let’s be very clear about one thing, John: We can’t trust Mayor Adams to protect our city or fight for the New Yorkers who will face the brunt of Trump’s cruel policies.

We deserve better than a mayor who is more focused on his criminal indictments and currying favor with Donald Trump to get a pardon, than our problems.
