This week, I had the opportunity to meet another one of President-elect Trump's great cabinet picks, Linda McMahon. Mrs. McMahon brings an impressive resume filled with charitable work and excellent managerial experience. Most importantly, she shares my belief on making education as local as possible. I'm excited to have such a gamechanger reform the Education Department as its' secretary, and I look forward to voting for her confirmation.
Yesterday, I delivered opening remarks at a Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee Hearing titled "Examining the Public Health Impacts of PFAS Exposures." PFAS are a manmade group of chemicals used to manufacture a wide variety of products, from cancer treatments, pacemakers and inhalers to water filtration, cell phones, and military aerospace equipment. They’re great for durability and resilience. However, some environmental activists want to blanket ban these chemicals for unclear health reasons without evaluating each chemical on an individual basis. When it comes to government regulation, Congress has a tendency to over react. As the subcommittee's Ranking Member, I'm committed to ensuring Congress gets it right without hurting our health, our economy, or market innovation.

Chuck Schumer is at it again. He's so scared of President-elect Trump that he's putting up as many barricades as possible. Whether it's radical, liberal judges or calling for more protections for illegal migrants, he and the Democrats are hoping to delay the America First Agenda. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for Oklahoma, President Trump and Senate Republicans will be ready to get America back on track. Watch this week's Weekly Wrap Up for more.
