We hope you had a great week! As you may know, Congressman Kim is a departing member of the House of Representatives. Since he will no longer represent New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District, this will be our final weekly newsletter from this office.

Over his six years serving in the House, we have had the privilege to send hundreds of these weekly messages with updates and resources. From opening offices across Ocean, Burlington, Mercer, and Monmouth Counties, to sharing information during the pandemic, to navigating news from Capitol Hill, we are so grateful you stayed connected with us through this newsletter.

A Look Through the Years

We are endlessly grateful for the chance to serve our local communities in Congress. It's been the honor of a lifetime. To look through Congressman Kim’s service in the House over the years and celebrate all we’ve accomplished together, we put together a report. Through 81 town halls, more than 628,000 letters sent to neighbors, and tens of millions of dollars returned back to the community, there are a lot of incredible memories and a lot of hard work to cover.

ICYMI: Congressional App Challenge Winner Announcement

We also want to take a moment to celebrate our district’s winner of this year’s 2024 Congressional App Challenge! Krithik from Lenape High School created “Neurowheel” to allow users to control an electric motorized wheelchair using brain signals sent through an electroencephalogram (EEG) headset, letting a user simply imagine a movement in order to direct the wheelchair. The app’s primary goal is to give people with neuromuscular disorders, like ALS, spinal cord injuries, or stroke victims, greater mobility with this hands-free system.

Congratulations Krithik and thank you to our judges and every student who took part in this year’s competition! Over his six years in Congress, Congressman Kim has been impressed and inspired by the passion and hard work students put into these projects. This year was no different. LAST DAY of Medicare Open Enrollment

Until tomorrow, you can head to medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE to look over coverage and compare options to make sure you have a plan that’s right for you!

Through the Inflation Reduction Act, Congressman Kim is proud to have helped cap insulin costs at $35/month for seniors on Medicare and deliver critical savings on their prescription drug costs.

REMINDER: Departing Member Notice

As a departing member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Kim will no longer represent New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District. Due to the varying length of time needed to resolve casework, constituent service, and/or grants assistance requests, our office stopped accepting new requests as of Monday, November 11th and closed our physical offices in New Jersey and at the Capitol. Our team will continue working remotely full-time.
