Nehls Joins Mornings with Maria Watch my interview HERE on Rumble. 2025 Presidential Inauguration Information The 60th Presidential Inauguration will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Washington, DC, on the west front of the U.S. Capitol. Each member of Congress receives a limited allotment of tickets to share with their constituents. My office will disburse tickets to constituents through a lottery based on all of the requests received. Tickets are not guaranteed as demand may exceed the number of allocated tickets. We will do our best to help those attending secure a ticket. To request tickets for the 2025 presidential inauguration, please fill out the form on my website HERE. The form must be completed in its entirety and include the full name of each person requesting a ticket. Forms not fully completed will not be considered in the lottery. Please note that these tickets are solely for attending the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Swearing-In Ceremonies. This does not include access to any of the inaugural balls or other ancillary events. Tickets to the inaugural balls are provided through the Presidential Inaugural Committee in consultation with the President-Elect. My office also does not receive seated tickets to the Inaugural Parade following the swearing-in. However, tickets to observe the Inaugural Parade route on-foot are not required. Please note the names of each guest in your party in the "Special Requests" box in the form on my website. Only one form per household/group will be accepted. Nehls Sends Letter of Support of Mental Health Crisis Center in Brazoria County to Texas State Legislators This week, I sent a letter to Texas State legislators expressing my support for the development and creation of a Mental Health Crisis Center in Brazoria County. Unfortunately, Brazoria County is experiencing a significant shortage of mental health services, including zero dedicated psychiatric inpatient beds. The Mental Health Crisis Center will provide urgent inpatient care and will alleviate the pressure on local hospitals, law enforcement, emergency services, and educational institutions, all of which are overwhelmed by the demands of mental health crises. This facility will enable a more comprehensive approach to care. I encourage all our state leaders to prioritize this project and allocate the necessary funds and resources to make this facility a reality. Read my letter HERE. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Questions the Director of USCIS at House Judiciary Subcommittee Hearing This week, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Integrity, Security, and Enforcement held a hearing titled "Oversight of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services." This hearing examined the agency's failures to reduce and prevent fraud and abuse in the adjudication of immigration benefits applications and petitions. At the hearing, I questioned Ur Jaddou, the Director of USCIS, about Tren de Aragua, a violent Venezuelan gang that now has a presence in at least 16 states across the country. I also discussed the abysmal failures of the Biden-Harris Administration, specifically in regard to their abhorrent border policies, which have allowed over 10 million illegal aliens to cross our nation's borders. On November 5, 2024, the American people spoke loud and clear: They want America to be put first. I look forward to working with President Trump to secure our borders and make America safe again. Hurricane Beryl Recovery Update The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved more than $786.8 million in financial assistance for 704,300 Texas households to help survivors of Hurricane Beryl in 22 counties, including Fort Bend, Matagorda, Harris, and Wharton. Deadlines have passed for Hurricane Beryl survivors to apply for FEMA assistance or for a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan. However, renters, homeowners and businesses that were unable to apply before the deadline have until Monday, Dec. 9, to file a Late Application with FEMA or the SBA. To apply with FEMA, complete a late application online at DisasterAssistance.gov or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. To apply with the SBA, visit the MySBA portal at [link removed] or visit the SBA Virtual Business Recovery Center.
