Dear Friends,
Happy Friday! This was a meaningful week in Washington focused on creating job and health equity in the Second District. In these anxious times, I am dedicated to ensuring that all of your needs, from improved work opportunities to increased access to healthcare, will continue to be met.
Applications are still open to intern in my DC office or any of my three District Offices. Interested applicants can apply here.
Recycling Manufacturer Arrives in Watseka

My staff toured Alliance Polysack, a new recycling facility in Watseka, that will add up to 75 new jobs in the community. Their work includes turning imported fabric into recyclable bags for the cement industry. It has the ability to produce 120 million bags annually. This exciting venture is community-minded and is looking to bring more people on board.
Federal Funding Secured for Job Seekers
I am proud to have secured federal funding for the CTA Red Line Extension Project, which will help connect South Side residents to the greater Chicago area. The funding will help ensure local residents are equipped for the new jobs with job training, construction clothing, transportation, and other needs.
Access Available to Healthcare Resources

DACA recipients are now able to enroll in healthcare through the Affordable Care Act for the first time ever. Regardless of your immigration status, you have a right to healthcare.
You can learn more and access resources here.
If you would like to share your thoughts with me, feel free to visit my website. You can also keep in touch through Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).
Sincerely,
Robin L. Kelly Member of Congress
