Ever since Joshua was little, he had a character named Dash living in his imagination.
Through everything, Dash was there with Joshua – especially when he was diagnosed with cancer at 6 years old. In the hospital, Joshua would escape with Dash into a world of adventure.
Thanks to you, now Dash’s story is a real book that Joshua wrote, and other kids can read it too!
Joshua remembers the day his wish came true as one of the best days of his life. He got to walk down a blue carpet at the library (his favorite place!), sign copies of his book and read part of it to everyone that came to his book release party.
In Joshua’s book, Dash discovers a mysterious glowing orb that gives him special abilities. But through his wish experience, Joshua learned that his community was his superpower. His family, teachers, classmates and friends who love and support him. And the Make-A-Wish® community that helped his wish come true.
In fact, that’s why Joshua decided to share some of the proceeds from his book with Make-A-Wish®. He wants other kids to have the same happiness and strength he felt when he got his wish.
