As we head into 2025, the threats to our democracy will continue — and the fight to protect it will be more important than ever.

I’m still deeply optimistic.

Why?

My optimism comes from the strength of our communities, the unwavering commitment to truth, and the shared belief that our democracy is worth protecting, especially at a time when democracy faces challenges from disinformation, threats to election workers, and growing polarization.

Despite these challenges, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished:

• Automatic Voter Registration: We launched this groundbreaking program in Minnesota, registering tens of thousands of eligible voters at the outset.
• Combating Disinformation: After calling out X’s AI chatbot, Grok, for spreading false election information, we successfully pushed the platform to correct its errors.
• Expanding Access: From the Minnesota Voting Rights Act to protecting election workers, we’ve passed significant reforms to make our elections more secure, fair, and accessible. But the work isn’t done.

My only public fundraising deadline of the year is December 31st. Everything we raise will go public, and hitting our $25,000 goal is critical to ensuring we have the resources to combat misinformation and protect democracy as we prepare for 2025-2026.
