I hope that you and your loved ones enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. This time of year is bittersweet for me—my son Jordan was murdered on the day after Thanksgiving 12 years ago. But as I remember the pain of losing him, I also reflect on the progress we have made since I came to Congress in 2019 to serve Georgia's families. We’ve seen historic progress—the Bipartisan Safer Communities Law and formed the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Jordan's death is why I fight to ensure others may live. We can and we must continue to build on that progress in the new year. |
