Celebrating a Year of Policy Progress and Recommitting to the Fight in 2025
FNUSA was thrilled to celebrate immense policy progress in 2024 across the federal government.

After many years of advocacy, the T Visa regulation included more protections for survivors, the Office on Trafficking in Persons finally started to take primary prevention seriously, and Congress considered legislation that came directly from FNUSA members. As we look to 2025, we are recommitting to fighting for the rights of survivors. We will fight back against any attempts to make the hotline less safe, to hack away at our human rights, and to attack the services survivors need.

Our work will be much more difficult, but we are committed to pursuing good policies that protect everyone and blocking harmful policies that make people vulnerable to trafficking.

Survivor Reentry Project Year End Update
As the year comes to an end, FNUSA's Survivor Reentry Project (SRP) wants to share and reflect on the progress we've made in 2024. We are filled with an abundance of gratitutde to work alongside our partners to assist survivors in clearing their records. Together, we are making a difference and look forward to continuing collective efforts for the upcoming year.

In 2024:
* 83 new survivors reached out to SRP
* 191 total survivors currently working with SRP as of 12/3/24
* 263 active cases as of 12/3/24
* 5 cases completely closed in 2024
* 133 individual charges cleared in 2024 (and still counting!)
* 2 new pro bono firm partners
* 1 new staff member - the SRP Advocate
