2024 Election Results
Of the 51 races for local office in November, at least 20 Greens
were elected in AZ, CA, DC, FL, ME and SC, including 12/13 incumbents.
Among the 20 elected, two were for city council, five for school
board, eight for water board and two for parks board. Of the 51
overall, the breakdown includes: city council (16), mayor (2), school
board (7), water board and public utilities districts (10), parks
board (2) and county board (4).
Earlier in 2024, running for similar offices, Greens were elected
in 30 out of 41 races (73.2%) . For the entire 2024, Greens have been
elected in at least 50 out of 92 races (54.3%) for county, city,
school, tribal and special district office. Overall at least 184
Greens in 27 states ran in 2024, with a breakdown of 92 for local
office and 92 for state and federal office, dispelling the myth yet
again that Greens only run for top-of-the-ticket races.

Jill Stein urges Greens to power up for the next phase
As we power up for the next phase of this movement, I want to send
you my deepest heartfelt gratitude. For you are a paragon of courage,
the unstoppable force we need for an America and a world that works
for all of us! Together we have changed history, and our work has only
begun.
Despite the extraordinary effort to silence, smear and intimidate
us, you stood strong to challenge genocide, endless war, oligarchy,
inequality, climate collapse, rising fascism, nuclear armageddon and
more.
You forced solutions into the election dialogue that would
otherwise have been ignored - from a weapons embargo to end Israel’s
genocide, to ending endless war, a $25 dollar minimum wage, rent
control, Medicare for All, a real Green New Deal, reparations, land
back, an end to mass incarceration and police violence, and ending the
migration crisis by ending predatory US policies driving mass
migration in the first place - from endless war and neo-colonialism to
the war on drugs and more.

Dearborn Greens have begun forming a caucus in Michigan for Arab
and Muslim Americans. Similar organizing is happening in
Minnesota.
"Establishing a caucus within the Green Party dedicated to
representing the Arab and Muslim American communities will provide a
platform for advocacy on issues specific to these communities,
including civil rights, anti-discrimination efforts, fair immigration
policies, and peace-oriented foreign policy," says Dearborn Greens'
caucus proposal.
"Creating this caucus will further enrich the Green Party’s
diversity and bring critical perspectives to the forefront of
discussions, ensuring that the needs and voices of Arab and Muslim
Americans are better represented in party platforms and actions."

Wisconsin Greens seeking candidates!
How often have you heard that the Green Party shows up every four
years and then disappears? That's untrue; we have run thousands of
candidates over the years. A while back, The Wisconsin Greens had 36
elected officials alone!
You can help get us back to those numbers by running for office
next Spring. By doing this, we grow our vision of people, planet, and
peace locally and allow voters to have a choice besides the two
establishment parties.
