I'll never forget hearing Della's story for the first time.
Dear John,

Della was in her 30s by the time her addiction to meth finally landed her in prison. She remembers trying to bargain with God from a holding cell on the day she was sentenced and thinking, Oh my gosh, what have I done with my life?

But the fear she experienced in that cell was nothing compared to the terror that struck Della on the prison bus as they pulled up to the receiving area of the Valley State Prison for Women
in Chowchilla, California. She was locked in a cage—bound in leg irons and a waist chain. She says, “I could almost hear the electric fence crackling.”

And then something amazing happened. “Here it is 22 years later," and I remember,” Della says, “and I remember the Holy Spirit said to me, ‘Don’t be afraid. I’m going with you.’”

God did go with Della into that prison. It’s an incredible story—and the reason that Della can say today, “God loved me so much that He would save me through incarceration.”

While Della was in prison, God impressed on her that one day she would return to prison as a free woman and a minister of the Gospel.

Nine years later, that promise was fulfilled. And today, more than 20 years after her release, Della is a staff member with Prison Fellowship® in California, where she works with former prisoners who are making the transition back to life on the outside.

God has done a miracle in and through her, and it began with someone like you.

As Della goes back into prison—just like God promised—you can partner with her and with Prison Fellowship to help transform many more men and women behind bars. I invite you to be part of these exciting stories of restoration today!

Will you
help reach many more prisoners <[link removed]>?

You can offer men and women in prison the one thing they need most: assurance that they, too, can be restored and experience a hope and purpose like they’ve never known before.

But we depend on your support to make this happen.

Every dollar you can give will help. Please give generously today <[link removed]>!
