Young Kim (CA-40) touted a bill she authored, which was later signed into law, that strengthened the security of our nation's small businesses. Her Small Business Administration (SBA) Cyber Awareness Act improved the SBA's capabilities to handle and report cyber threats that impact small businesses. Tuesday WFW AF was proud to support Rep.-elect Julie Fedorchak (ND-AL), who will become the first woman to represent North Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives. Fedorchak spoke with local media about her first trip to Washington since her big win, how the transition process works, and her plans to make energy policy a priority in her first term. Fedorchak has been an effective public servant for years in North Dakota, and we are excited to see what she accomplishes over the next two years for the people of her state and the entire country. Wednesday Republican women were back in Washington this week and touted important legislation that they passed in the House. Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02), who serves on the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, passed bipartisan legislation to hold China accountable for evading tariffs and using slave labor. Hinson argues that their trade violations not only hurt their own people, they hurt American workers and our economy. Thursday Rep. Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) celebrated passage of her sixth piece of legislation since she was first elected to the House of Representatives.
