John, we need to see BIG changes in 2025 if we want to fix our broken water industry.

So we need a game plan like no other.

For too long, we’ve been knocking on the door of Downing Street, calling for action on the diabolical state of our waters. The government has finally started to take notice and we welcome that. But their plan to reform the UK’s water sector cannot be watered down. We’re as worried as you that water companies will play dirty to wriggle their way out of it.

That’s why our 2025 game plan is to go bigger than ever before, and we want you to be the first to see it:

The fact is, if we want to make the most of the government taking notice, the next 12 months are crucial. Surfers Against Sewage is a small organisation, but with the backing of this community, we’re proud to punch above our weight.

But the only way we can do this is with funding. That’s why The Wave of Action Appeal is SO important. If we can raise enough money, we can go into 2025 full steam ahead to make change happen.

Looking back over the past year, we know change is possible, all thanks to this incredible community. Your demands made the government commit to reform the water sector and have even launched a consultation on how bathing sites are designated in England and Wales. With surfers even getting a mention for the first time! That’s HUGE.

But we need to make sure any new laws the government creates actually do the job, so the water we all swim, surf, paddle and play in isn’t full of 💩.
