Dear John,

You may have heard that wireless radiation emitted by cell towers and other wireless technology harms both human health and the environment.

But did you know that federal law prohibits your local government from protecting you and your community from this threat based on health and environmental concerns, despite mounting evidence that our growing wireless infrastructure poses significant risks to humans and the environment?

Thousands of studies show that wireless radiation does not just harm human health, it also disrupts ecosystems, makes it harder for birds and bees to navigate, disrupts migration and pollination, and even threatens marine life.

However, instead of protecting our environment, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has not updated its wireless exposure guidelines in almost 30 years.

We are fighting for the FCC to update these guidelines to reflect the current body of scientific evidence and for local authorities to have the power to protect their communities. We want them to have the ability to deny permit applications for cell towers in residential areas, close to homes and schools, based on the unique concerns of their communities, including health and environmental effects. Federal law should not dictate the placement of wireless infrastructure without local input.

But we need you to succeed! Please help us raise awareness by sharing our latest materials on this critical issue.
