In my years of political work, I've never witnessed the level of voter intimidation seen during this election cycle:

* An unprecedented number of bomb threats in Black and Brown precincts in battleground states and districts across the country;
* Extraordinary lines at polling places during early vote;
* A historic number of new voting restrictions passed by Republican legislatures since 2020, targeting vote by mail, drop boxes and more;
* A massive disinformation campaign meant to chill voter participation.

This wasn't just about voter suppression; it was about scaring people away from participating in our democratic process altogether. These dual threats to our democracy — physical intimidation and systematic suppression — cannot be swept under the rug.

What remains important is this: Fair Fight is here, and we are unrelenting, doing the critical work to protect the freedom to vote. Rather than engaging in blame games, we're focused on analyzing what we did and what has happened this year, working to move forward with solutions that ensure all demographics can freely and safely participate in our democracy. Understanding how these factors contributed to both narrow victories and defeats will be crucial for Fair Fight’s work moving forward, because our vote is our voice.
