Dear Friend of Israel,

Israel is helping us in the battle against COVID-19.

Last week, new bipartisan legislation was introduced in both the Senate and the House that would further U.S.-Israel COVID-19 cooperation. 

This legislation would create a U.S.-Israel grant program to promote key innovative solutions to COVID-19 and other health problems. The program would be funded equally by the U.S. and Israel, with potential matching private sector funding.

In a Wall Street Journal article, U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook explained that the U.S. administration is prepared to call for the snap back of Iranian sanctions if the U.N. arms embargo on Iran, which is set to expire in October, is not extended.

This follows 387 members of Congress signing a bipartisan letter to Secretary of State Michael Pompeo supporting efforts to extend the U.N. arms embargo on Iran.
