John,
Billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have been tapped by Donald Trump to lead the so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) under the guise of reigning in government spending. But this made-up department isn’t about better governance; it’s a blueprint for deregulation, privatization, and corporate favoritism.
Musk has openly warned the American people about the economic “hardship” his deep spending cuts would bring, but what he won’t say is that those hardships are meant to pay for more tax breaks for millionaires, billionaires (like him), and corporations.[1] From slashing the social safety net to rolling back environmental protections, DOGE’s real goal is to dismantle public services and funnel tax dollars back to him and other corporate elites.
We’re fighting back against this blatant billionaire takeover of our government. Musk and Ramaswamy are both business tycoons with no experience in public service. Their loyalty lies with profit, not people.
If DOGE becomes a reality, vital services working families depend on like healthcare, education, and housing will be cut; while the agencies safeguarding our health, environment, and economic stability could be gutted or sold off to the highest bidder.
Join the fight to block Musk and Ramaswamy from turning our government into a playground for billionaires. Add your name to reject the “Department of Government Efficiency”, which is intended to cut services and agencies that serve all Americans in order to pay for more tax cuts for the rich and corporations.
Musk’s vision for the DOGE isn’t about saving taxpayers money, it’s about dismantling the protections that keep billionaires and corporations in check and handing them trillions more dollars in tax cuts.
We’ve seen what happens when corporate greed goes unchecked: lower wages, fewer worker protections, and skyrocketing inequality. DOGE would take that one step further, turning the federal government into profit machines for the wealthy. Public health? Privatized. Infrastructure? Sold off. Accountability? None.
Musk’s $2 trillion spending-cut plan is a recipe for disaster. The so-called “efficiency” will harm working people and vulnerable communities while giving big businesses and their billionaire owners even more tax cuts as well as free rein to exploit our resources.
The bottom line is clear: Musk’s vision for cost-cutting and deregulation isn’t about streamlining government, it’s about silencing oversight, eliminating accountability, and saving him and his billionaire buddies trillions in taxes. This is a pivotal moment for our democracy: we must choose to fight back or allow billionaires to transform our government into another one of their profit-driven schemes.
Sign now to reject Musk and Ramaswamy’s appointments and stop this blatant corporate takeover and high-end tax-cut grab masquerading as “government efficiency.”
Together, we can stop Musk, Ramaswamy, and Trump from turning the government into their private empire.
