Dear 350Brooklyn Members,
The past couple of weeks has affirmed the importance of community, organizing locally, and effecting change where we live. 350Brooklyn from the start has been just that – with four women meeting in an apartment in 2015. They had been active in organizing the historic 2014 NYC Climate March, and were craving a sustained, grassroots community to confront the climate crisis with – and thus 350Brooklyn was born!
Our wins since 2015 have been enormous, making NYC the epi-center for some of the most aggressive climate legislation and policies in the nation. And there’s more that we can actually accomplish!
We are so happy that you are here with us at this moment – whether you’re a veteran climate justice activist or just signed up last week because you too feel that pull that our founders felt. You are in good, neighborly company with over 4,000 members strong as we end 2024.
As a grassroots organization, we depend on our members for financial donations throughout the year in order to keep us running smoothly and effectively. The vast majority of our budget comes through small grassroots donations from people like you.
