Greetings from Washington D.C.!
I wanted to take a few moments and update you about an important case that Frontline has been working on. We remain committed to our mission of protecting children. Recently, I had the distinct privilege of drafting an Amicus Brief in the landmark case United States v. Skrmetti.
The case, supported by common-sense principles, argues that gender identity is not equivalent to biological sex and should not be treated as a "suspect class" under the Equal Protection Clause. This case is not about redefining sex or endorsing discrimination—it is about shielding children from irreversible medical procedures.
As Solicitor General Rice emphasized during oral arguments, Tennessee’s law is designed to protect minors from experimental and life-altering treatments and to prohibit the use of puberty blockers specifically for gender transition purposes.
A decision from the Supreme Court is not expected until June 2025, but our work doesn’t stop. Every day, we stand firm in the belief that every child deserves protection from harmful, experimental procedures. We are praying for a ruling that affirms this truth and protects our children.
As we work tirelessly to advance legislation here in Georgia, we need your help to continue crafting policy and amplifying our message. Your support fuels our ability to stand up for children. [[link removed]]
We also want to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to key figures who have worked tirelessly to defend this important law, including Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti and his team at the Solicitor General’s office. We are thankful for the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson and House Majority Leader William Lamberth, whose sponsorship and advocacy have been instrumental in ensuring this legislation moves forward to protect Tennessee’s children from experimental and life-altering treatments.
