John, as a longtime organizer and the first Gen Z member of Congress, I’ve been sounding the alarm on the importance of progressives reaching Gen Z voters young and early.
This year, Gen Z men swung to the right and determined the outcome of the election. This was no coincidence. Far-right extremists have been preying on these young men for the last four years.
Extremist sentiment has been seeping into the content Gen Z guys consume — turning advertising into weapons of mass fearmongering and appealing to their worst prejudices.
The far right recognized Gen Z’s power long before a lot of progressives did, and had the resources to indoctrinate them into the cult that is far-right extremism.
We pushed as hard as we could to make up for lost time, and while we made great strides with other Gen Z demographics, we fell short with young men. But that doesn’t mean we give up winning them back.
John, we saw what happens when we let far right extremists get a headstart, and we can’t afford to let that happen again. So I’m asking you to start just the way I said: early.
Will you rush a donation right now so we can start reaching, educating, and mobilizing Gen Z and older Gen Alphas across the country EARLY, before the far right beats us to it again? People are turning voting age every single day, and their political opinions start forming long before then.
