Dear MoveOn member,

As we continue to process the outcome of the election, one thing is clear:
The Democratic Party has a lot of work to do. They have to scrutinize the
past decisions made by the party, listen to the voices of the people
rather than consultants, and begin the process of rebuilding and regaining
the trust of voters.

But MoveOn is not the Democratic Party—and that is precisely why our work
will be so essential in the months and years ahead.

MoveOn has always been and will always be an independent progressive
organization. We have a long history of pushing the Democratic Party to be
bold and courageous and fight for working people.

As we enter Donald Trump's second administration, MoveOn's work as a
leader trusted by our millions of members to be strategic and innovative,
organize en masse, never compromise in defending our rights, and fight
tooth and nail to win will be a crucial component in stopping Trump's
authoritarian plans—and we need you with us every step of the way,
John.

As we said, MoveOn is an independent organization. Our funding never has
and never will come from lobbyists, special interests, or billionaire
corporate donors—it comes from people like you chipping in $5, $10, or $20
to support our work.

[ [link removed] ]The fights we will face over the next four years are going to be
grueling, but MoveOn will be on the front lines every step of the way. Can
we count on you to join us with a $9 donation right now?

When news broke in 2017 of the Trump administration's horrific family
separation policy, MoveOn did not wait for politicians to debate or for
Congress to act. We organized tens of thousands of MoveOn members and
allies to join marches across the country to show our outrage and
opposition to the program—and the program was shut down.

Later that same year, when Trump and the Republicans seemed poised to
repeal the Affordable Care Act and rip health insurance away from tens of
millions of people, MoveOn flooded Congress with thousands of calls,
organized rallies, and raised the pressure on more-moderate Republicans in
advance of the vote—and the ACA was saved.

And beginning right after his election, MoveOn members began pushing Joe
Biden to the left, calling on him to take bold action to not only help
America recover from the pandemic but to make investments in a more
progressive future—and in 2022 he signed into law the largest investment
in tackling the climate crisis in our nation's history.

This is the work that we were built to do, and we will continue to do it
every single day, moving fearlessly forward no matter what obstacles come
our way.

[ [link removed] ]Our country needs MoveOn, which is why we hope you will generously
give $9, or whatever you can afford, today to ensure we have
the resources necessary to lead the fights we will face over the next four
years.

Thanks for all you do.

–Rahna, Kenia, Amanda D., Allie, and the rest of the team
Want to support MoveOn's work? Donald Trump and his MAGA allies expect us
to give up. But we will not give them what they want. We will never stop
working to defend our fundamental freedoms and protect our democracy.
MoveOn has been leading the movement against right-wing extremism for 26
years, and we promise you that we will still be here every step of the way
forward.

Will you donate to power MoveOn's work to protect our freedoms and
democracy under Trump's administration?
