by Joshua Arnold |
The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments Wednesday regarding a 2023 Tennessee law (SB 1) protecting minors from gender transition procedures. After Tennessee prevailed in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Biden administration's Department of Justice (DOJ) intervened in the case and appealed to the Supreme Court, which agreed to hear the case in June of this year. |

Is Bipartisanship Dead? |
by Suzanne Bowdey |
If there's one thing we all learned from the election, it's that the American people agree on a whole lot more than their representatives do. Despite the breadth of our differences, this country still wants a lot of the same things. What most voters can't understand is why 334 million of us can find some scrap of common ground and the 535 men and women on Capitol Hill can't. Is compromise in politics even possible in a city where the two sides view each other as mortal enemies? Or is unity just the casualty of these ferociously divided times? |

Congressional Report Finds (Nearly) Every COVID-19 'Conspiracy Theory' Was True |
by Ben Johnson |
After a two-year investigation, the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released its 520-page report titled "After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward" this week. The report finds the COVID-19 virus likely originated from a lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where it may have been manufactured as a chimera. Lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing, and vaccine mandates were not based on sound science and did more harm than good. Natural immunity exists for COVID-19, as it does for other viruses. And President Donald Trump's "racist" travel bans likely saved lives. |

As SCOTUS Considers Major Trans Case, Pleas for Children to Be Protected Abound |
by Sarah Holliday |
On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) heard arguments for United States v. Skrmetti. This case, explained Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, "will decide whether states can protect children from experimental and irreversible gender transition procedures." Although it has made its way to the highest court in America, the case at hand stems from a Tennessee law that currently protects kids from hormone therapy and puberty blockers. |

DOJ Doubles Down on Gag Order of Surgeon Who Blew Whistle on Child Sex Changes |
by Elizabeth Mitchell |
The Justice Department filed a reply Tuesday supporting its motion for a gag order against Dr. Eithan Haim, a surgeon indicted by the Biden-Harris administration after he blew the whistle on sex-change procedures for minors. Haim initially came forward as an anonymous whistleblower to expose gender treatments being performed on minors at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. He is facing four felony counts of violating the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, also known as HIPAA, according to journalist Chris Rufo, who first reported on Haim's story. |
