Hello John! We are excited to share UFE's 16th annual State of the Dream report, "Building a Fair Economy at the Intersection."

Presenting the 16th annual State of the Dream report!

Hello John!

We are excited to share UFE’s 16th annual State of the Dream report, “Building a Fair Economy at the Intersections” – available for download today!

State of the Dream 2020 takes an intersectional look at why we cannot take a race or gender neutral approach to building a fair economy, laying bare the long-standing gender and racial inequalities that are now exacerbating the harmful impacts of Coronavirus for marginalized groups.

Inequalities like sexism and racism compound issues for women of color and others “at the intersections,” making it clear that building a fair economy will take more than fighting for economic justice alone. The only way to end economic inequality is to attack the gendered and racialized rules that drive it.

The new report features…

  • Content from a dozen contributors exploring the intersections between gender, race and economic inequality
  • An analysis of the racialized and gendered rules driving economic inequality and holding us back from a fair economy
  • A contribution honoring the legacy of Coretta Scott King and 10 other inspirational women and non-binary movement leaders
  • An interview on funding intersectional gender justice with the co-directors of the Third Wave Fund
  • A new popular education resource specially designed for teaching and learning the contents of the report, and much more!

Visit faireconomy.org/dream20 to read and share the report!

We hope that our report will serve as a timely tool for sharing and encouraging discussions with your friends, family, religious congregation, union, and others. Thank you for your support of economic justice - a pursuit that, as this report shows, must include racial and gender justice.

In Solidarity,
United for a Fair Economy
