** Peer Circles have officially launched!

Last Monday, SVN members met with their peer groups for the first time, marking the exciting relaunch of SVN’s staple member offering! These intimate groups of 6-8 members create a confidential space for leaders and changemakers to share challenges, exchange insights, and support each other's growth through structured monthly discussions. ** Seeking Members to volunteer for the Communications Working Group

Help shape SVN's voice and outreach strategy! We're looking for members with experience in marketing, communications, or content creation to join our Communications Working Group. This volunteer group meets monthly to guide our messaging, online presence, and member engagement initiatives. Commitment is 3-4 hours per month. More details to come in 2025. ** Member Meetings Are Back!

Our November member meeting highlighted SVN’s progress this year, tripling our membership since the RISE un-conference in June and featured other exciting developments, including peer circles launching with eight initial groups! The board shared updates on member-to-member communications through WhatsApp, a new group mailing list, and the new member directory initiative.

** Member Approved New Bylaws!

Following months of collaborative work by SVN’s Governance Working Group, we have developed new bylaws that establish SVN as a truly member-led organization. The draft was shared for community review and feedback through November 26th, with final revisions completed by the governance working group. On December 4th, members voted to approve these foundational bylaws, marking a new chapter in SVN’s evolution.

** Rose outperforms in election!

SVN Board Member Rose Yee outperformed in her run for US Congress, California District 1. With 96% of the vote counted, she has received nearly 107,000 votes. She showed that a true populist message resonates with both sides of the political aisle.

** JumpScale and Spruce Root Announce a $6M Donation from Mackenzie Scott Empowers Alaska Native-Owned Businesses
------------------------------------------------------------

This transformative gift will support Alaska Native-owned businesses through the joint implementation of JumpScale’s innovative Resilience Circles program in Southeast Alaska. The Resilience Circles Framework™, a culturally informed and wellness-based initiative, has garnered widespread recognition for its effectiveness in addressing systemic challenges. ** Malachi Leads Global Panel on Sexual Trauma & Recovery at ISTSS 2024

Malachi Gillihan ([link removed]) led a global panel on sexual trauma, integrating theory, research, and approaches for recovery and healing for survivors. The panel was at the annual conference of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies in Boston in September. The panel explored approaches in various contexts including Ireland, India, Australia, the UK and the US.
