Wisconsinites are hurting as COVID-19 continues to have devastating effects on communities in every corner of our state.

Currently, Wisconsin state prisons are on the brink of becoming a public health catastrophe – and we need your help to stop it.

An outbreak of COVID-19 in our prisons would strain our hospital system, endanger public health, and claim thousands of lives, many of whom are Black Wisconsinites who are 12 times more likely to be incarcerated.

Your voice can make a difference and even save a life. Wisconsin's crowded prisons are overcapacity, and social distancing is impossible in these cramped and squalid conditions. So far, Governor Evers has reduced the prison population in Wisconsin by 3.8 percent, but a greater reduction must be made to protect public health.
