Joe Biden’s days in the White House may be numbered, but he’s not done breaking his promises to the American people quite yet.

Despite repeatedly promising he wouldn’t pardon his son, Hunter, the President announced that he did just that over the weekend. Frankly, it’s not surprising that Joe Biden and the White House brazenly lied for months on end. The idea that Joe would leave office without pardoning his criminal son is absurd. After all, Americans know the Biden Crime Family is corrupt to the core. 

In fact, according to reports, the President held discussions about pardoning his son with White House aides since Hunter’s conviction of felony gun charges back in June. Yet they agreed to publicly claim there wouldn’t be a pardon.

After years of lying on everything from inflation to the President’s health, the White House’s latest bold-faced lie isn’t shocking in the slightest. However, it’s the extent of the pardon that’s raising eyebrows across the aisle and throughout the country.

The devil is in the details. And folks, the details reveal just how corrupt the Biden Crime Family really is.

President Biden’s pardon grants Hunter sweeping legal protection for any crime he “has committed or may have committed” over a nearly 11-year period, extending from January 1st, 2014 to December 1st, 2024.

Hunter Biden committed felony gun charges in 2018 and carried out felony tax charges between 2016 and 2019.

So, why extend his pardon all the way back to 2014? 

Well, that’s the year Hunter Biden started working for Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company at the center of one of the Biden Crime Family’s shady foreign business schemes. 

In other words, this pardon has nothing to do with Hunter’s firearm or tax charges — but everything to do with protecting the Big Guy and his crooked family. For decades, the Biden Crime Family has abused political power for profit — to the tune of billions of dollars. Now that they’ve reached the end of Joe Biden’s political career, they’re providing themselves cover for the nefarious crimes they’ve committed.

This scheme is pure corruption, plain and simple.

Thankfully, sunlight is the best disinfectant. I’m confident that President Trump and his top-notch teams with new leadership at the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will provide the American people with the accountability and the transparency that they deserve. Rest assured, my conservative colleagues and I are ready to help the Trump Administration deliver this long-awaited justice. After all, we can’t let the Big Guy and his remaining family members off the hook.

Just one day before President Biden pardoned his son for 11-years’ worth of crimes, President Trump nominated Kash Patel to serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Clearly, the Biden Crime Family is terrified of Kash — and for good reason! Kash Patel, who played a key role in uncovering the Left’s Russian collusion hoax, is the perfect man for the job. As you may know, Kash served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. He also spent many years as a skilled federal prosecutor and as a pivotal staffer for the House Intelligence Committee.

Like many of our government agencies, the FBI has been weaponized against the American people. From President Trump to pro-life advocates, the FBI under the Biden-Harris Administration has dangerously abused its power to pursue partisan agendas and to achieve nefarious political gain. Simply put, the FBI is rotten and in desperate need of reform. Given his experience and commitment to dismantle the Deep State, I have full confidence that Kash Patel will clean up the FBI. Moreover, I look forward to helping him root out abuse and corruption on behalf of the American people.

I urge the Senate to swiftly confirm Kash Patel as FBI Director next year, and I encourage FBI Director Wray to pack his bags. Much-needed leadership, reform, and accountability are coming!

• H.R. 5349, the Crucial Communism Teaching Act: This bill directs the independent Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation to provide a civic education curriculum and educational materials for middle and high school students about the dangers of communism and totalitarianism, teaching how these systems are against American ideals and founding principles.
• H.R. 7198, the Prove It Act of 2024: This legislation requires greater transparency from agencies on regulatory decisions that affect small businesses and empowers small businesses to petition the SBA to review proposed regulations and their economic impact by amending the Regulatory Flexibility Act, strengthening American innovation and putting small businesses before burdensome regulations.
