John,

Following the national results of last month’s election, and recognizing the serious threat a Republican trifecta in the federal government poses to abortion access, the Governor made sure to secure a stockpile of mifepristone to last through 2028.

Under Governor Kotek’s leadership, no Oregonian will be denied access to reproductive health care.

Governor Kotek is committed to protecting Oregon’s values, no matter who sits in the Oval Office. And she’s always been a fierce advocate for reproductive justice.

Beyond the mifepristone emergency stockpile, Governor Kotek has already committed to protect all providers who prescribe the drug and anyone who arrives from another state to receive care. Last year, she signed the Access to Reproductive Health Care bill into law, protecting access to reproductive health care and providing state funding to clinics and community organizations providing care.

While we don’t know what the next four years will look like, Oregonians should be reassured knowing that Tina is looking to protect and defend the rights we hold most dear.

Thanks,

Team Tina
