Thank you.
Yesterday morning, I walked into the office, and my coworker Ramona screamed, “Happy Giving Tuesday!” Another coworker, Stasko, shouted from across the room, “We’re at 20% of our goal!”
In the middle of the excitement, Kristina, one of our social workers on the Survivor Care team, waved and smiled as she slipped into a private office. She turned on the noise machine and shut the door—it was time for a confidential call, likely with a youth in our Survivor Care or the adults in their life.
Throughout the day, Kristina would pop out for a drink of water and grin, “I can hear y’all shouting out here, how’s it going!?” “WE’RE AT 42%!” someone would holler back, followed by a round of cheers.
Giving Tuesday is NOT a quiet day at Love146. It’s a day of movement, joy, and community. With every gift that lands, the energy in our office builds. Claps, and cheers fill the air, and online messages packed with emojis fly across our screens from colleagues in other offices.
And those gifts? They fuel the work happening just beyond the noise—the urgent, steadfast, life-changing work of walking alongside youth. The phone calls, the safety plans, the expertise and practical support that says, “You’re not alone, and you matter.” Kristina was the only Survivor Care team member in the office yesterday, the others were out in the field working in person with kids and communities.
Thanks to YOU, yesterday was full of celebration—and impact. Each one of your donations gave us more reasons to cheer and, more importantly, it gave a child more reasons to believe they are loved, valued, and headed toward better days.
A few of us met up after 5 at Ramona’s house to continue the momentum with some soup and a fire. The excitement on our team peaked after 9 PM when we exceeded the goal to raise $150,000.
The donations kept coming into the night. As of now, we’ve raised 130% of the goal. Thank you thank you thank you… 🥹
We’re so grateful for the difference you're making.
PS: Our team had a lot of fun yesterday on Instagram Live, discussing our work and celebrating our donors. Relive the fun with us by tuning in:
