Dear John,

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity on Giving Tuesday! Because of your support, we raised a total of $9,483, and with the matching funds from the Biophilia Foundation, your donation is going twice as far to protect wildlife through crossings infrastructure. We’ve now raised 19% of our $50,000 challenge grant from the Biophilia Foundation, and we still have 28 days left to reach our goal!

Your contribution is already making a difference. The funds raised will support critical projects like our Virginia Social Vulnerability, Flood Risk, and Connectivity interactive mapping tool, which helps identify key areas for wildlife crossings and climate-resilient infrastructure. These improvements will not only reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions but also enhance flood resilience, ensuring safe passage for wildlife and greater protection for vulnerable communities.

Our map highlighting high-risk areas for flooding, wildlife-vehicle collisions, and social vulnerability, along with key habitats and corridors vital for infrastructure improvements.

Mapping is essential for wildlife crossings because it identifies where species are most at risk and where infrastructure updates are needed. By combining data on social vulnerability, flood risks, and wildlife corridors, we can prioritize the most critical areas for wildlife movement, helping to reduce roadkill and ensure safe passage for wildlife. These maps also help inform decision-makers about where federal funding can be best allocated for long-term environmental benefits.

We are truly grateful for your continued commitment to this important cause. Together, we are creating safer, more connected landscapes for both wildlife and people.

Thank you again for your support, and stay tuned for more updates on how your donation is making an impact.

Biophilia will continue matching grants until December 31, so it’s not too late to double your donation!

For the wild,
