Today, December 4th, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in US v. Skrmetti, a landmark case which will have deep implications for access to medically necessary health care. This case will decide whether laws banning gender-affirming care for transgender youth violate the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution. 

Today, PFLAG National and Chapter Leaders are rallying together outside the U.S. Supreme Court for the freedom to get the healthcare we need when we need it. Every person and every circumstance is different, and doctors, patients, and families—not politicians—should make our personal, private health decisions.

Please consider taking action TODAY in the following ways: 

• Sign the ACLU’s petition in support of defending trans freedom.
• Contact the Supreme Court directly and ask that the rights of trans youth and their families be upheld and that transgender people are not further discriminated against.  
• Donate to PFLAG National to advocate side-by-side with our trans loved ones so that they are safe, celebrated, empowered and loved in every aspect of their lives.

No one should be targeted by the government just because of who they are. PFLAG will be here to support transgender people, their families, and allies, and we stand against cruel and discriminatory health care bans and for our shared freedoms. 

We the people means ALL the people. Let’s show up and fight back.
