Courage and resilience in D.C. today

John,
In just a few hours, the U.S. Supreme Court will listen to oral arguments in a landmark case challenging Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, United States v. Skrmetti.
This case stands to have far-reaching implications nationwide on transgender equality at large – but most immediately, it could bring an end to the havoc caused by laws across the country that prohibit transgender young people from receiving medically necessary healthcare.
While we don't know how the Supreme Court will rule, we do know that we'll never stop working to support and empower transgender youth and their families in accessing life-saving, gender-affirming care.
Our Transgender Youth Emergency Project (TYEP) – which started in the South and has now expanded to every state nationwide that has passed bans – has directly supported over 1,100 families across 26 states who have had to travel across state lines to access care. TYEP offers 1-on-1 patient navigation support to families and provides grants that make it possible for families to travel to states where gender-affirming care remains accessible.
No matter how the Supreme Court rules, we are doubling down in our efforts to protect and support transgender youth. As SCOTUS hears this important case today, can you make a donation of $25, $50, or more – 100% of which will support our work connecting trans youth with life-saving healthcare? Consider making your contribution monthly, to fuel our ongoing efforts to support families nationwide. ([link removed])
We are so grateful to our partners at the ACLU, who are fearlessly taking the fight for dignity and safety for thousands of transgender youth to the nation's highest court. While the legal experts make a strong case for transgender youth before the Justices today, we can do our part by ensuring that we have everything we need to meet the moment – no matter the decision – and reassure every single transgender youth and their family that they will not be without support as they seek the medical care they need.
Show trans youth that you have their backs today and every day by donating $25 to our Transgender Youth Emergency Project. Every penny will help cover the costs of air travel, gas, and accommodations for families who have to travel out-of-state to access gender-affirming care ([link removed]) .
In tough times, we each have concrete actions we can take to build the better world we all deserve – one where no trans youth has to go without the healthcare they need to live as their healthy, authentic selves.
It's your support that makes this life-saving work possible. Thank you for your trust in our vision.
With love and gratitude,
Allison Scott
