CNN Panelist Deems Biden’s Pardon Necessary Because Trump Will Order “Firing Squads”
HotAir: Joe Biden had to pardon Hunter because Donald Trump is bringing out the firing squads. This passes for political analysis on CNN ( HotAir). Scott Jennings: Of all the defenses of the Biden pardon I’ve heard, “because Trump firing squads” might be the most creative ( X). Libs of TikTok: CNN panelist justifies Hunter’s pardon because Trump will order “firing squads.” Literally what ( X)?

Fani Willis Ordered to Submit All Communications She Had With Jack Smith, January 6 Committee
Post Millennial: The Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia has ordered that District Attorney Fani Willis hand over all communications she had with special counsel Jack Smith and the defunct January 6 Committee to Judicial Watch, which sued Willis under the Open Records Act (ORA). The court granted the default judgment motion brought forth by Judicial Watch, which stated that Willis had been served with the lawsuit in March 2024, but by May when Judicial Watch asked the court to declare default judgment, Willis had still “not filed an answer” despite it being due “30 days after service.” The order centers around the deadline in which Willis had to respond, with Willis being served on March 11 and a return of service being filed two days later. However, the latter document did not appear on the court’s electronic docket. In April the court, “believing that Defendant had not yet been served,” filed an order directing Judicial Watch to serve the defendant, who refiled the return that showed Willis had been served on March 11 ( Post Millennial). George: This could bring major legal troubles for Fani if, indeed, she coordinated with the federal government to go after President Trump ( X). Amuse: Fulton County District Attorney Big Fani Willis just suffered a major defeat in her ill-conceived RICO trial in Georgia. The longest trial in Georgia history with 28 defendants ended in not guilty charges for all defendants (Shannon Stillwell was found guilty of a single gun charge, but given time served) ( X).

Nathan Hochman Sworn in As New DA of Los Angeles
Gascon is officially out! KTLA: Nathan Hochman was officially sworn in as the 44th Los Angeles County District Attorney on Tuesday in a ceremony held on the front steps of the Hall of Justice. Hochman replaces former District Attorney George Gascón, who lost his reelection bid in a landslide in November. Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger officially swore in Hochman ( KTLA). Breitbart: He said that he opposed “extreme policies” on “both ends of the political pendulum,” including defunding police on the left, and “mass incarceration” on the right. He said that he would focus on deterrence, rather than incarceration. He announced the reversal of previous “blanket extreme policies” that prevented prosecutors from seeking sentence enhancements or accompanying victims of crime to parole board hearings, vowing a focus on the facts and the law. Hochman also said that he would form task forces to deal with specific areas of crime, such as home break-ins, and that he would form partnerships with community groups to enhance public safety and trust in law enforcement ( Breitbart).

Jury to Begin Deliberations on Daniel Penny’s Case
Daily Wire: The prosecution and defense teams delivered their closing arguments on Monday in the case of Daniel Penny, who is on trial for his alleged role in the death of Jordan Neely. The defense portrayed Penny as a man who protected the other passengers on the subway train who testified they were afraid of Neely. Defense attorney Steve Raiser asked for jurors to put themselves on the train the day Neely died, using sound effects of closing doors and trains leaving a station. He also played police body camera footage of passengers talking about how they were afraid of Neely…Penny faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of manslaughter or up to 4 years if he’s convicted on the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide ( Daily Wire). Fox News: New York City Mayor Eric Adams appeared to defend the Marine veteran charged in the death of Jordan Neely, a homeless man with a lengthy criminal history who shouted death threats in a subway car before he was subdued and choked out. Jurors began deliberations on Tuesday following a trial ( Fox News). Graham Allen: The forensic pathologist said the chokehold alone did not kill Jordan Neely, his blood condition, synthetic Marijuana, schizophrenia, exertion is what killed Neely. DANIEL PENNY DID NOTHING WRONG ( X). Jack Posobiec: NYC subway stabbing: Jordan Williams has charges dropped after arguing he killed fellow passenger in self-defense. Weird how this standard doesn’t apply to Daniel Penny in the same city. Why is that ( X)?

China Bans High-Tech, Chemical Exports to the U.S.
Just the News: China announced Tuesday the banning of exports to the United States of chemical elements and other essential high-tech materials, in apparent retaliation for the U.S. limiting semiconductor-related exports. The country’s Communist-led country announced the ban after the U.S. government expanded its list of Chinese companies whose export of computer chip-making equipment, software and high-bandwidth memory chips are limited… The trade war between the world’s two most powerful economies escalates after President-elect Donald Trump last week to raise tariffs on imports from China, Canada and Mexico ( Just the News). Associated Press: China is the biggest global source of gallium and germanium, which are produced in small amounts but are needed to make computer chips for mobile phones, cars and other products, as well as solar panels and military technology ( Associated Press).

Biden DOJ Looks to Place Gag Order on Whistleblower Doctor Who Exposed Texas Children’s Hospital for Performing Gender Transition Surgeries
Daily Wire: The legal team for Dr. Ethan Haim, the doctor who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital in May 2023 — revealing that the facility had lied about ending its transgender medical program and was still performing attempted transition procedures on children as young as 11 — ripped the Biden Department of Justice for seeking a gag order targeting Haim in his legal case with the government. Haim’s claims were originally published in an explosive story by journalist Christopher Rufo. In June 2023, Haim said he knew he was being targeted by the DOJ when federal agents visited his home; the DOJ attempted to charge him with four felony counts of violating HIPAA ( Daily Wire). Burke Law Tweets: Today, The Justice Dept. filed a reply supporting its motion for a gag order against our legal team and Eithan Haim. They dispute our charges of government misconduct, saying that we mischaracterize the facts. Yet much like previous censorship efforts by this administration, it is the federal government that is purveying misinformation, and it is all on the judicial record ( X).

House Panel Determines Covid Likely Leaked From a Lab in Wuhan
New York Post: COVID-19 killed more than 1.2 million Americans after likely leaking from a Chinese lab that was in part funded by US taxpayers, a House panel has concluded. “Four years after the onset of the worst pandemic in 100 years, the weight of the evidence increasingly supports the lab leak hypothesis,” the Republican-led House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic determined in a 520-page report… But the report adds weight to the theory with additional analysis from former senior government officials and reiterates the fact that risky gain-of-function experiments funded by federal grants were being conducted at the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, China…The 45th president has floated forcing China to pay $50 trillion to compensate other countries for the widespread death and economic and social consequences of the virus. Last year, he called for a “global summit on reparations” ( New York Post). Eric Daugherty: The House COVID Committee has released its final report after a 2-year investigation. MAJOR FINDINGS: The NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab. The Constitution can’t be suspended in times of crisis. COVID emerging from a lab leak is “not a conspiracy theory.” EcoHealth and Dr. Peter Daszak should “never again” receive taxpayer funds. Public health officials have lost the trust of the people. Trump’s Operation Warp Speed was a success. The COVID response was “rampant” with fraud, waste and abuse. “The prescription cannot be worse than the disease,” lockdowns had horrific consequences ( X).

South Korean President Faces Likely Impeachment After Declaring Martial Law
Associated Press: The president of South Korea early Wednesday lifted the martial law he imposed on the country hours earlier, bending to political pressure after a tense night in which troops surrounded parliament and lawmakers voted to reject military rule. President Yoon Suk Yeol, who appeared likely to be impeached over his actions, imposed martial law late Tuesday out of frustration with the opposition, vowing to eliminate “anti-state” forces as he struggles against opponents who control parliament and that he accuses of sympathizing with communist North Korea. Police and military personnel were seen leaving the grounds of parliament following the bipartisan vote to overrule the president, and the declaration was formally lifted around 4:30 a.m. during a Cabinet meeting… The president’s surprising move harkened back to an era of authoritarian leaders that the country has not seen since the 1980s, and it was immediately denounced by the opposition and the leader of Yoon’s own conservative party ( Associated Press). Open Source Intel: South Korea’s largest labor union announces a “general strike” demanding President Yoon’s resignation ( X). Reporter Will Ripley: Lots of questions after a chaotic night South Korea. The most pressing: How long can President Yoon stay in power after his shocking martial law declaration? There are growing calls for Yoon’s impeachment and even accusations of treason ( X). Pubity: What happened today in South Korea: The President accused the opposing party of being North Korean spies. Goes on TV to mandate martial law. Parliament calls a vote, and the military is summoned by the President, but political aides block them at the door. They vote unanimously, 190 out of 190, to stop martial law. The President must accept or be deemed illegitimate ( X).

British Parliament Embraces the Culture of Death
Albert Mohler: Once again, the Culture of Death scored big last week as the British Parliament voted 330 to 275 to forward a bill that will legalize “assisted death” in England and Wales. The legislative move sets the stage for negotiations over the final form of the bill and the velocity of Britain’s slide into the list of nations that encourage and enable their citizens to end their own lives. Those who voted for the bill will surely protest my statement that they will encourage “assisted death,” but that is exactly what they are doing. If you declare a so-called “right to die,” then you simultaneously (if evasively) argue for a duty to die. Prominent spokespersons for people who are severely handicapped and terminally ill fully understood this and said so. From this point onward, a British citizen who fits the covered category of a patient dying of a terminal disease under a certain timetable will face a choice no patient should have to make: Do I continue to use up crucial medical services and the resources of both family and society when there is now a legal way out? That’s the way the Culture of Death advances. It promises a perverted vision of personal autonomy but actually delivers a society in which so-called “assisted death” is redefined as a medical advance ( World).

Fox News: President Biden pledged $1 billion in humanitarian support to Africans displaced by historic droughts and food insecurity on Tuesday, as North Carolina residents continue to rebuild after the devastation left by Hurricane Helene. “The United States continues to be the world’s largest provider of humanitarian aid and development assistance. That’s going to increase, you know, that’s the right thing for the wealthiest nation in the world to do,” Biden said while speaking in Angola ( Fox News). End Wokeness: Biden-Harris just sent $1+ billion to Africa for disaster relief while this is happening HERE ( X).
