John, I'm Christian, the chief programs and policy officer at Brady. And like so many of us at Brady — and far too many people across the country — I am a gun violence survivor.

Before I share more about my personal story, I have a request for you: Will you make a triple-matched donation to Brady now? It's absolutely crucial to our work that we meet this $300,000 goal, but time is rapidly running out, and right now your donation will be worth three times more!

When I was 19 years old, my mom was shot and killed — my father suffered multiple gunshot wounds but thankfully survived. What haunts me is that the gunman who shot my parents had a history of violence, and shouldn’t have had access to the weapons he used that day.

Common-sense gun violence prevention legislation like extreme risk laws (sometimes known as red flag laws) could have saved my mother's life and countless others who have died of gun violence in the nearly 20 years since her death.

That's why I fight with Brady to pass gun violence prevention legislation all over the country. Because the fact is that none of us can be safe from gun violence until we all are.

That's what your 3X-matched gift today does, John. It saves lives. So please, don't wait: Give $5 or more now and TRIPLE your impact to help Brady continue making life-saving progress that families need.

Thank you for all your support — it's people like you who power this movement.
