### Real Reform, Real Results
As Giving Tuesday comes to a close, we’re celebrating the incredible strides we’ve made together in drug policy reform over the past two years. **The War on Drugs has wreaked havoc for decades, but your support has empowered LEAP to advocate for bold changes that prioritize public health and dignity over punishment.**
Our speakers, many of whom witnessed firsthand the damage caused by failed drug policies, are changing hearts and minds, driving reform from courtrooms to Capitol Hill. Here are a few examples of how your belief in our mission has driven real progress:
**Colorado’s Psychedelics Milestone:** LEAP provided expert testimony that helped guide the passage of SB 23-290, lowering penalties for people who possess or consume natural medicines and establishing a regulatory framework for psychedelic therapies — a victory for public health and compassionate care.
**Ending Cannabis Criminalization:** In Delaware, our tireless efforts helped make history as the state became the 22nd to legalize cannabis, ending decades of criminal penalties for adult use.
**Decriminalizing Psychedelics in Nevada:** Lt. Diane Goldstein (Ret.) played a key role in Nevada’s passing SB 242, which originally aimed to legalize psilocybin and promote MDMA research but was scaled back to create a Psychedelic Medicines Working Group.

Through oral testimony, an educational session in Las Vegas, and an Op-Ed in *The Nevada Independent*, she championed the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. Her advocacy earned her an appointment to the Working Group by the minority Senator, confirmed by the Governor. This positions her to lead efforts on psychedelic-related legislation in Nevada’s 2025 session.
**These aren’t just legislative victories — they’re stories of hope and transformation.

Your support has been the foundation of our work. Together, we are challenging harmful systems and creating new opportunities for healing and justice. But there is so much more to do, and none of it is possible without you.
In states like Illinois and California, LEAP’s speakers have championed legislation to decriminalize and regulate psychedelics for therapeutic use, offering hope to veterans, first responders, and others suffering from PTSD and mental health challenges. Though some of these measures stalled, our advocacy has helped build momentum, reduce stigma, and save lives.
The War on Drugs has left deep scars on individuals and communities—scars we strive to heal every day. [Your Giving Tuesday gift can help us push forward by expanding access to life-saving treatments, ending punitive drug policies, and advocating for a public health-centered approach to substance use.]([link removed])
LEAP has been a steadfast voice for equity in marijuana laws, working to ensure that communities most harmed by prohibition are not left behind. We continue to advocate for marijuana legalization and the expungement of records, knowing these reforms dismantle systemic racism and help restore impacted communities.
**Your support has powered every testimony, every legislative breakthrough, and every shift in the national conversation around the War on Drugs. Together, we’re proving that change is not only possible—it’s happening.**
As the day comes to a close, we need your help to keep this movement strong. Together, we are rewriting the story of public safety, one reform at a time.
