We know it's hard to believe,
John — but in just one month, the
119th Congress will be sworn in.
With Republicans holding a trifecta — our options to fight back are
limited.
But there were some bright spots! Just take a look at some of these
congressional victories: ⏬
* In Delaware, Sarah McBride was elected as the first openly transgender
member of Congress. And in spite of hateful attacks from the GOP,
Sarah is pushing full steam ahead to serve her constituents.
* 7 out of 9 members of the Squad survived well-funded AIPAC
challengers.
* In California, Democrats flipped 2 seats from their GOP incumbents and
flipped other competitive seats across the country.
* While the GOP may control the House majority — it’s razor-thin,
providing a greater opportunity to stymie Trump’s far-right agenda.
We know this election wasn’t what we had hoped for,
John. But it wasn't all bad news
either. As we look toward the future, it's important to remind ourselves
of the small victories — because every victory, no matter how big or
small, propels the progressive movement forward.
It’s folks like yourself who continue to make the impossible possible.
Even though all seems lost at times, we are committed to remaining true to
our progressive values and gearing up for the fights ahead.
These fights will be numerous and difficult,
John. And it's going to take a
lot of resources if we're going to thwart Trump's destructive,
anti-democratic agenda.
Organizations like Justice Democrats and Squad Victory Fund will be at the
forefront of the fights to come, working to defend our progressive values
and stand up for what matters in the face of right-wing attacks and an
incoming hostile Republican government.

contribution to Justice Democrats + Squad Victory Fund to hold the line
against the MAGA right?
